  The Mighty Great Speckled Bird arises yet again, just as fear and greed appear poised to completely overwhelm fairness, justice and democracy. Our revival is created by volunteers, concerned citizens of these United States who wish to turn the nation away from war, injustice and environmental degradation. For now the Bird is primarily a web presence, with occasional hard-copy isssues as funding permits.

The Atlanta City Council joins other cities in passing a resolution supporting this movement.

There remains an experience of incomparable value...
to see the great events of world history from below;
from the perspective of the outcast, the suspects, the
maltreated, the powerless, the oppressed, the reviled
in short, from the perspective of those who suffer...
to look with new eyes on matters great and small.
